The Amateur Dramatic insurance scheme comprises the following four basic headings:

  • Material Damage Cover
  • Public Liability, Products Liability and Employers Liability Insurance
  • Cancellation Insurance
  • Personal Accident
Insurance

As a specialist theatrical broker we have worked with a leading UK insurer to provide this insurance package which has been keenly rated to provide wide cover for the minimum premium. For an Amateur Dramatic or Operatic Society to try to insure any or all of the above insurance separately would be both difficult and expensive.

The standard Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Societies Insurance Package Premium is:
£179.20 Premium, including 12% Insurance Premium Tax
£10.00 administration fee
=
£189.20

This provides insurance cover up to the amounts shown in the summary where there are no more than:

  • Three productions per year
  • 50 members of your Society involved in any one production

An increased premium will apply where you require cover in excess of the minimum amounts or where you stage more than three productions per year and / or more than 50 members are involved in any one production.

Material Damage

  • The policy covers your property anywhere within the United Kingdom and up to 30 days in Europe in any period of insurance for an amount of £10,000 including whilst property is in transit. The sum insured can be increased for an additional premium.

Public Liability, Products Liability and Employers Liability Insurance

  • The Policy covers your legal liabilities to employees and to third parties.

Cancellation Insurance

  • The Policy covers loss of expenses for an amount of £2,500 any production or series of productions in one period of insurance. The limits can be increased for an additional premium.

Personal Accident Insurance

  • The Policy covers you and any of your members, directors or employees over 5 years and under 80 years against accidental bodily injury by violent, external and visible means whilst engaged in activities in connection with the society including travelling
