Do I need employer’s liability insurance if I hire freelancers?
+ -Yes, you do require Employers Liability Insurance if the freelancers are under your direction and control.
Will the insurance cover legal fees if the production is sued?
+ -Yes, assuming that either the Public Liability or Employers Liability sections are triggered.
Are performers, musicians, and crew covered under the insurance policy?
+ -Yes, performers, musicians and crew are covered under the Employers Liability and Public Liability Insurance policy.
Performers, musicians and crew can also be covered under Personal Accident and Medical Expenses Following Personal Accident.
Does theatre insurance include coverage for touring productions?
+ -Yes, the policy can cover touring productions. There are other insurances that need to be considered for tours such as Travel Insurance and Marine Transit Insurance. Please contact us to discuss and to receive an insurance quote.
Will insurance cover lost income if a show is postponed or cancelled?
+ -Yes, as long as you have Cancellation Insurance in place and have chosen to insure box office revenue.
Is the cost of refunding a ticket covered in the event of performance cancellations?
+ -No, you would need to include this as a specific item under your Cancellation Insurance.
Can I customize the policy to fit the unique needs of my productions?

Does the policy cover outdoor venues for special events?
+ -Not automatically, as your insurance broker we need to be advised about all outdoor performances as the insurance requirements are slightly different.
What steps do I need to take to make a claim, and how quickly will it be processed?
